The connection to GitHub on my Cursor (AI-powered code editor, a fork of VS Code) was lost, and there didn’t seem to be an easy way to reconnect it properly.
After some unsuccessful searches and trials, I found something that works.

Go to the home page. If you have a project open, go to File and then New Window.

Next, click Clone repo, and that’s it—Cursor should prompt you to connect via GitHub again.

You can then cancel or delete the cloning process if you don’t need it.
